HA Fillers - Skin Lifting

What is Hyaluronic Acide (HA) Fillers made of?HA fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a naturally occurring polysaccharide (sugar) present in most tissues of the human body. The average adult human body contains 7-8g of HA; approximately half of which is found in the skin, where it plays a vital role in maintaining normal skin structure and function.

How can HA Fillers Smoothen Skin? They can be used to:

  • Soften wrinkles and scars

How does HA enhance your skin while it smoothens texture?

  • It traps a vast amount of moisture to keep the skin hydrated
  • It has viscoelastic properties, acting as a shock absorber and lubricant
  • It helps new skin cells grow and replace old skin cells
  • It helps skin cells produce collagen and other substances essential for maintaining skin structure
  • It helps collagen and elastin maintain skin structure
  • It prevents free radical activity and protects skin cells.

How does HA retain the skin's youth?Water is perhaps the most important component in the skin. It is the essential solvent for all metabolic processes and lost of water makes cells sag, leading to lines and wrinkles. Healthy skin should have a high water content of around 20%. As we age, the skin loses its HA and collagen and moisture retention properties. Stress and environmental pollutants compound the drying effect, causing our skin's water content to dip.

We can reduce these drying effects by injecting HA into our skin. Since HA draws water, it keeps the cells hydrated. Just as 'filler' suggest, the injections will pump up the skin, make it supple and youthful looking.

How long does the results last? The effects are long term, for over a year. Touch-up and follow-up treatments are convenient and need only be at 6-8 months intervals.

Is it safe?Yes it is. As HA is already naturally found in the skin, HA fillers are akin to supplements. HA used by ClearSK is derived from non-animal sources and are non-toxic.
