No More Unsightly Facial and Body Hair
Cold Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

Unsightly and unwanted body and facial hair is something almost everyone struggles with. Many people have tried shaving, tweezing, waxing and depilatories. Others have chosen tedious and painful electrolysis treatments. Our intense pulse light (IPL) uses clinically tested wavelength to permanently disable hair growth from the roots, with zero downtime. It's a swift, comfortable, and safe way to permanently reduce unwanted hair to reveal your smooth silky skin. What's more, you get no unsightly bumps, rashes or ingrown hairs unlike waxing or shaving.
SUPER HAIR REMOVAL (SHR) by ALMA Lasers
Using a patented technology, SHR permanently destroys hair follicles by using low fluence repetitive light pulses targeting the susceptible hair follicles.
Compared to conventional light-based hair removal systems which fire about 2-4 high-powered shots into each hair follicle, the SHR fires minimum 20-30 shots onto each hair follicle during each of the treatments. It is like fire a machine-gun as opposed to using a rifle shotgun. The SHR system has been FDA certified for hair removal.

Darker skin Fair and fine hair Sensitive skin, e,g., eczematous dry skin Certain sensitive body parts, e.g., Brazilian, Bikini Lower pain threshold History of Folliculitis People who developed folliculitis after IPL or Lasers And everyone else
Back to FAQWho are suitable for IPL light based hair removal?
People with darker hair and fair skin. The hair must be significantly darker than the skin to enjoy differential selective photo-thermolysis of the hair follicles.
People who develop skin allergies to waxing / hair removing cream / threading
Absence of history of severe skin allergies
Absence of history of folliculitis
How many sessions are required?A lot depends on the amount, density and thickness of the hair. Generally thicker and darker hair will require more sessions for all the follicles to be fully treated.
We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions per zone and each session on a monthly interval basis.
For those who are slightly more hairy, they may need up to 10 sessions.
How do I prepare for my hair removal session?Avoid tanning the area to be treated for at least 7 days prior to treatment. Do not scrub or wax the areas to be treated for at least 7 days. If you develop rashes or itch over the areas to be treated, please inform your doctor or therapist to postpone your treatment.
Back to FAQWhat should I do after each session?Typically you will have slight redness over the treated areas for a few hours to one day. Apply soothing moisturizer post treatment. Apply sunscreen over the area. Avoid picking or scratching the area treated.
Back to FAQHow long must I wait for the next session?Depending on the hair re-growth cycle, you can return 4-6 weeks for the next session.
Back to FAQCan I still shave or wax in between?Contrarily to common beliefs, shaving does not cause the hair to grow thicker. It merely appears thicker as we are looking at the mid-shaft of each hair shaft. Therefore you can shave if it is necessary in between your sessions. However you should stop shaving 3 days prior to your appointment to allow the melanin in the shaft to absorb the light pulses during treatments. Waxing is not adviseable during hair removal treatments. But if you need to than you have to wax minimum 1 week prior to your appointment.
Back to FAQIs hair removal permanent?IPL and SHR hair removal targets the deeply seated hair follicles and thus permanently damage them as opposed to shaving, waxing, hair removal creams which only serve to remove the hair shaft. Unless you have gone through hormonal imbalances caused by pregnancy, menopause, intake of hormone pills, most people enjoy permanent hair reduction/removal.
