Lasers emit an intense path of energy

SK PIXEL LASER Resurfacing
For people with stubborn pigmentation and moderate to deep acne scars, this fractional technology treatment allows satisfying results with good recovery duration. It is also suitable for darker skin types. For optimal results, you can combine your treatment with SK Aqua Peel a week later.
Harmony XL Q-Switched Nd:YAG
Pigments exist in many different forms. This new treatment we have introduced helps you with your pigmentation problems such as spider veins, leg veins, pigmented lesions, tattoo removal, vascular lesions, pigmented scars and so on. It delivers light quickly at a very high energy. These pulses are absorbed by the area treated and the pigments are broken down into smaller pigments for removal by the body's natural lymphatic system.
Nd-Yag Q-switched Laser
An effective tool for pigmentation treatment and facial rejuvenation, it can help minimize pores and decrease the appearance of fine lines. Its beam is also applicable in removal of unwanted tattoos.
CO2 Laser (carbon dioxide laser)
Remove unsightly and potentially malicious pigmentation abnormalities like moles with this laser. It also breaks down sebaceous (oil) lesions that make the skin rough and oily.

How does it work?

Lasers

Melanin is present in everyone and is what gives our skin its colour. Whether we are fair or dark complexioned depends on the amount of this substance in our body. However, the concern is when melanin is abnormally concentrated in one area, giving rise to what is commonly known as pigmentation.

Just about everyone, at a certain point in their lives, has brown spots on their skin e.g. birthmarks, freckles, age spots, etc. There are various reasons why pigmentation occurs. Some are present at birth or with age but most times, it is a result of overexposure to the sun's damaging UV rays.

Depending on your skin type, there are different types of treatments you can consider, one being laser.

Laser removes pigmented lesions with the energy of very short-pulsed light. Pigmentation is reduced or removed when the laser light is absorbed by the excessive amount of melanin under the skin. Hence, you will achieve a fairer and more even complexion.

The laser beam also stimulates new collagen growth in the deep layer of the skin. Thus, it rejuvenates and tightens the skin.

How many sessions will it take? Most common pigmented lesions can be removed with less than 3 sessions. However, if the pigmentation covers a large area, you may prefer to have it treated in several stages to avoid unnecessary discomfort.

What can it be used for?It can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as: age spots, freckles, "liver" spots, and various types of birthmarks, and loose skin.

Will pigmentation return?Common pigmentation does not. Though some birthmarks may return after a period of several months to a year, the procedure can be repeated with similar results.

Is the process painful? The sensation is akin to the snap of a thin rubber band. After the procedure, the treated area feels similar to slight sunburn. Any discomfort usually goes away within a few days.

How about post treatment care?Redness may be experienced for two to four weeks following the procedure. After the redness subsides, the skin will return to its natural colour and texture. Occasionally, there may be pinpoint bleeding associated with the treatment. Affected area should be kept clean and scrubbing avoided. You will be given an antibacterial ointment to apply.
